GUSTAVO ALVAREZ
America Tampas CEO and Leader of the Cooperation Network for the Plastic

Gustavo Alvarez, Chemical Engineer, with a postgraduate degree in finance and marketing from Makenzie University, FGV, ESPM and Harvard Business School.
More than 20 years working in Évora Group companies, in the plastic packaging sector, working on business development with global consumer goods customers and technological partnerships with the largest companies in the sector. He is currently the CEO of America Tampas, one of the largest plastic closure systems companies in South America, with manufacturing units in Brazil and Argentina.
Since 2018, it has been working intensively in the search for alternatives, with several actions implemented, to improve the image of plastic and the material’s positive impacts on society. America Tampas is one of the sponsors of the “Tampinha Legal” Program, of the SustenPlást Institute, and created the Program’s first collection Hub outside the Porto Alegre – RS Hub.
He is currently coordinator of the Plastic Closures Sector Chamber at Abiplast and helped to structure the proposal NETWORK for Plastic Cooperation, where he is currently responsible for coordinating the Packaging Design Axis, in addition to participating in the Governance group and its Deliberative Council.
